The Chimera is a mutant that is combination of an earth worm, a fish, and a falcon.
History
The Chimera is a three-animal hybrid creature, mutated from a falcon, a fish and a worm.
It was created at the end of Race with the Demon, when Speed Demon exploded, spilling some mutagen gasoline on a falcon, which was carrying a fish, which ate a worm.
The falcon, with fish in its mouth, with worm in its mouth, getting struck with mutagen.
After an accident with Donnie's neurotransmitter, April got a psychic link with the creature, she could see everything the the Chimera saw. The Chimera captured Raph, Donnie, Mikey, and Casey, and took them to its nest, leaving a weak Leo and a blind April to rescue them. When the guys tried to escape becoming food, they fall into a crevasse. When April and Leo reach the nest, they find the others, but then the Chimera grab both of them, but a mid air struggle between the three of them, the Chimera falls into the crevase freeing the guys, but soon the gusyer erupts causing a landslide. Everyone escapes unharmed and April regains her sight. The Chimera is last seen bursting through the rubble of the explosion, and is about to eat a squirrel.
Powers
Being three different animals gives this creature many of their abilities.
Strength: Can carry Casey, Mikey, Raph, and Donny with no problem at all in the air.
Speed: Able to fly high speeds and even diving into the lake.
Aquatic: Being part fish, the Chimera is shown to breath as long as it wants under water.
Flight: Able to fly high altitudes over clouds.
Acrobatic: Able to have flexible neck to swing around and great agility as well for counterbalance to make quick turns in the air. Also able around trees.
Worm Tenticals: Able to use to hold its prey or use to whip.
Senses: Possible be part falcon able to have strong sense of vision to be able to see prey from high altitudes.
Trivia
- The Chimera is the second mutant to be a combination of more than one animal. The first being Justin.
- In original Greek Myth, Chimera is a lion, goat and snake as tail mixed up together with power of fire-breath.
- Occasionally, Michelangelo refers it as Turducken, but this is more of an insult rather than an actual name.
- It is still unknown that it will follow the Turtles to New York or not.
- The chimera's only weakness is a soft spot on its head.
- Still don't know yet that it's male or female.
