The Healing Hands mantra is an ancient remedial technique that is composed of an incantation and hand motions. It is introduced in the Season 3 episode "The Deadly Venom". It is capable of doing numerous things, such as expediting one's recovery from an injury, removing a neurotoxin from one's system, and negating the effects of Shredder's mind control formula. Master Splinter and Leonardo are two martial artists that have mastered this technique, given that very few martial artists ever have.
The Healing Hands are inspired by the "nine symbolic cuts" or Kuji-kiri, by using hand gestures one can calm themselves down and boost their mental state. However, unlike the Healing Hands in the series, it can not be used to stop or slow down poison effects.
