Official Description[]
Renet transports the Turtles to 13th century Transylvania to stop Savanti Romero.
Plot[]
The next leg of their journey through time leaves the Turtles and Renet amidst a nocturnal eerie swamp in medieval Transylvania. In order to move unnoticed among the locals, Renet uses some of the spare energy of her Time Scepter to wrap the Turtles in human clothes. This equipment comes with wooden pegs, crossbows, and other special weapons - including a magical seal for Donatello's Bō staff - because the next monster they have to catch before Savanti Romero is none other than Count Dracula, Lord of the Vampires.
Shortly after their transformation, the five friends meet a group of knights circled by a werewolf and his wolf pack. Although they can help the knights escape, they are now even being targeted by the wolves. During the ensuing argument, Raphael becomes separated from the others and hunted by the wolves deeper into the moor; but just when he stumbles and everything seems to be out, the wolves suddenly disappeared without a trace. But a strange figure appears in front of him, which suddenly dissolves into a cloud of bats, who fall on him bloodthirstily. Renet and the other Turtles are rescued at the last moment by the sunrise, which sends the werewolf and his wolf helpers to flight. When they notice Raphael's absence, they search immediately and find him completely exhausted and dizzy.
Finally, the five reach the edge of the swamp and arrive in a village abandoned by any human soul. There, a carriage crosses their path, the inmate of which warns them that the village has succumbed to the plague and advises them not to travel west (towards Dracula Castle) but in the opposite direction. Secretly, this is Dracula himself, and in his presence Raphael's condition deteriorates abruptly. Led by the Time Scepter, the Turtles and Renet meet shortly thereafter two Gypsies, Vulko and his daughter Esmeralda who are scared of the sight of the Turtles at first, but reassured by Renet and - last but not least by some gold from Renet's Technomagic purse - can be persuaded to help.
When Esmeralda examined Raphael during the journey, she discovers that Dracula has infected him with the germ of vampirism and is soon threatening to turn into a blood-sucker himself - especially as soon as he can bite his first victim and taste his blood! As they try to reach Dracula Castle's before the arrival of the worst, night falls and Raphael rises as a neo-vampire. But before he can attack Michelangelo, Esmeralda puts him to sleep with a garlic pendant. But to completely heal him, the vampire who did this to him must be destroyed as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Savanti Romero, together with the Mummy, have reached the Castle of Dracula and forced the vampire prince with his remaining means in his service. Therefore, when the Turtles, Renet and the gypsies approach the castle, they are rushed by Dracula's carriage, occupied by demonic horses and a headless rider, by the mountain pass and almost plunged into the abyss. Although most inmates are able to escape the collapse of the Gypsy Wagon unscathed, Raphael and Vulko are snatched by the Wolves under Dracula's command and dragged towards the castle. The friends follow the trail of the kidnappers, but at the castle gate they are received by the werewolf from the Moor. Leonardo and Donatello can captivate the beast with some chains lying around, but before they can kill it, Esmeralda reveals the werewolf as her own father. Michelangelo then throws the Wolf a silver coin from Renet's stock exchange into its throat, and the presence of the metal forces the werewolf to resume its human form.
With the Werewolf's defeat, Dracula now intervenes personally and tries to suck the blood out of Esmeralda. When Leonardo tries to stake the vampire, this deed is stopped by Raphael, who is now under Dracula's direct control. The friends follow the two vampires into the tomb of the castle, where they fall directly into the trap of Savanti and his monster ally. In the ensuing confrontation, the companions are separated, and the Mummy forcibly removes the silver coin from Vulko's stomach, forcing him to transform into a werewolf again. Now that he has his wanted monsters at his side, Savanti activates his emergency time travel module and disappears together with Raphael and Vulko back into the future. Renet sacrifices the last charge of her scepter for the opening of a time gate, and with the promise to bring Esmeralda back to her father safely, the friends trace their opponents to the next station in time: Frankenstein's Castle, in Germany in the year 1818.

Trivia[]
- The original Raphael was also bitten by vampires in Volume 4 of the Mirage's comics, though then he got turned into a kaiju-esque mutant rather than a vampire.
- Raphael's demeanor for the rest of this arc is a reflection of the character Renfield in the original Dracula novel and most of its film adaptations.
- The Turtles' Monster Hunter Kit is inspired by the hunting equipment seen in the movie Van Helsing (2004).
- When the Turtles and Renet are surrounded by the wolves, Michelangelo mentions the effect of silver bullets against werewolves as he saw in The Growling. This title is a slight name change from the 1981 cult werewolf horror movie The Howling.
- Unlike the rest of the monster characters in the Monster Mayhem episodes, the ghost chauffeur known as the Headless Horseman is from the American horror story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving.
