[Episode starts with April narrating the events of what happened in the last episode and the start of Season 3.]
April: [voice over] I'll never forget the night we left New York City. The Kraang defeated us. Leo got badly hurt. Master Splinter is gone. We lost. We had nowhere left to go. So we came to the old farmhouse I grew up in, miles away from the city, a place we could all be safe in. The first thing we did was take care of poor Leonardo.
[As they arrived at the house, the group placed Leo into a bathtub full of water. His blue mask and belt was removed.]
Donnie: This will keep him hydrated, help him heal faster.
[They begin to leave as Raph waits for Leo to wake up. As April speaks on, we see Mikey feeding the chickens.]
April: [Voice over] Raphael keeps a constant vigil over Leo, waiting for him to wake up. Michelangelo goofs around a lot, but he does a ton of chores around the house.
Mikey: Ooh. Back off, chickens. That's all I got. Easy, easy. [Screams.] Help! Aah!
[The chickens chase him.]
April:[voice over] But mostly, he goofs around a lot. Donatello built a lab in the barn, trying to create a mutagenic medicine to heal Leo.
Donnie: One last drop, and I think I've done it. Aah!
[One last drop Donnie installed explodes and smears Donnie’s face with smoke. Casey laughs at him, much to Don’s annoyance.]
Casey: This baby's gonna need a lot of work.
[The car falls on Casey, causing Donnie to laugh at him as a comeuppance. There, we see April writing her journal.]
April:[voice over] And then there's me, April O'Neil. I spend most of my time training with the Turtles and writing in my ever expanding journal. I miss New York, my Sensei, my dad. Hopefully Leo will recover, and we can all go home soon, if there's even a home to go back to. But life, as Master Splinter would say, we must continue on.
[theme song]
[After three months have passed, April and her friends are still living at the house, training outside.]
Casey: Goongala!
Raph: You gotta be quick to train with ninjas. Sorry, April.
[Raph knocks April down, but she stands up and punches Raph as he falls to the ground.]
April: I'm almost a full-on Kunoichi.
Mikey: Aw, yeah! Gotta be quick if you wanna be hanging with the ninjas, dog.
[April sees Casey and Donnie fighting intensely. Casey attempts to throw his hockey stick at Donnie like a boomerang, but Donnie skillfully dodges it and smirks at Casey, but then Casey uses a slingshot to use to hit Donnie with rocks.]
Casey: Sweet moves, Donnie. Eat this!
Donnie: Ow! Cheap shot!
[Donnie furiously throws his bo staff at Casey. Casey’s slingshot fell. Donnie tackles Casey as they tumble around and fight.]
April: Okay, you two. Enough! You guys are acting like a bunch of caged animals.
Casey: We're just blowing off a little steam, Red.
Donnie: Yeah, things are just kind of tense lately. Right, old friend?
Casey: You got that right, old pal.
Raph: We're all just a little frustrated, April. No offense, but we're Turtles. We don't belong in a farmhouse. We belong in the sewers.
Donnie: Okay, not entirely accurate but, uh, apropos.
Mikey: Yeah, that's all good. But like Master Splinter would say, we must accept the hand that the universe has dealt us.
Casey: [impressed] Wow, that's deep, yo.
Raph: [annoyed] Master Splinter's gone, Mikey, and Leo may never wake up. The universe dealt us a terrible hand.
[Raph walks back into the farmhouse. April looks sad. Raph goes to the bathroom, where Leo is still unconscious. Raph sighs sadly. In the living room, everyone is watching TV.]
Mikey: All right. Quiet down, everybody. It's time for my new favorite show.
[The show turns out to be called Crognard.]
Crognard: Wizardess, Graah, Spooch, ride!
Wizardess: We're already riding, Crognard.
Crognard: [Laughs.] Graah!
Wizardess: Crognard, my magic is tingling. I sense danger. Oh, no. Slug people.
[Camera zooms over to a group of slug people.]
Slug man: Greetings, travelers. We, the Slug people, bring you tidings of peace and-
Crognard: Attack!
[The cartoon characters begin to fight the slug people.]
Splooch: Mm, Spooch scared of creepy Slug people. Spooch Spooch.
Crognard: Crognard will use Spooch as bait!
[Crognard throws Spooch over the alien's head]
Crognard: Now, wizardess, Graah, destroy!
[As everyone watched, Raph suddenly called out with hope.]
Raph: Guys! Guys! Get up here!
[Donnie, Mikey and the others ran to the bathroom. Raph smiles as the others show up. To their great joy, they saw Leo was awake!]
Donnie: Leo?
Leo: [Raspy but a deeper voice] Hey, guys....
[Completely joyous, Mikey hugs his oldest brother while crying.]
Mikey: [crying] LEO!
Leo: It's okay, Mikey.
Mikey: You're back!
Leo: Ow..Okay, that hurts.
Raph: Take it easy. Let us get you out of here.
[Raph, Donnie and Mikey help Leo to stand up and get him out of the tub. In the living room, Leo is seen on the couch. Donnie checks through his brother’s heartbeats with his stethoscope, while the others watch.]
Leo: So we've been here for three months? I've been out that long?
April: You had us worried sick, Leo. Raph barely slept.
Raph: [shrugs it off] That was nothing.
Casey: So, like, why does he sound different?
Donnie: He sustained damage to his throat, and pretty much everywhere else for that matter.
[Leo groans painfully as April watches in concern, even though there is no cure for his voice. Donnie holds up a medicine and puts it in the spoon.]
Donnie: Here. Take some more of my special patented mutagen medicine. You'll be healed in no time.
[Donnie smiles as he kindly puts some spoonful of mutagen medicine at Leo’s mouth. Leo groans in agony and clutches his stomach in pain, causing April, Donnie and Raph to react and look at him in great concern.]
Leo: [grimacing in disgust] Ugh, that tastes like it's supposed to come out of me, not go into me.
Raph: First thing tomorrow, we're gonna start training again, you and me. I'll have you on your feet in no time, bro.
[Leo smiles at Raph, knowing that he can always count on him. The next day, we see Leo and Raph outside.]
Raph: Come on, Leo, you gotta build up those muscles. You've gotten super weak.
Leo: Don't rub it in. Aah!
[Leo falls to the ground]
Leo: I don't think I'm.... I don't think I'm ever gonna be the same again.
Raph: [upset and offended by seeing his brother so weak] Don't talk like that. That's not the Leo I know. Now, come on. Let's cross this creek.
[Leo stood up and winced. Taking out his medicine, he drinks the cure and groans in disgust...suddenly, he starts to feel sick and dizzy, dropping the cure.]
Raph:[Slow Motion.] Leo?
Leo: Oh, man. Oh, I'm gonna.... [vomits.]
Raph: You okay, Leo?
Leo: I think it's that medicine Donnie gave me. I'm not feeling too good.
[Raph takes Leo back to the farmhouse.]
Raph: Come on. Let's get back to the farmhouse. You need some rest.
[They go back. The ooze Leo vomited out started to glow in, which a mutant is being born. Later that evening, Leo is resting, while April makes some drinks.]
Leo: I just can't stop thinking about Master Splinter. Maybe he's not really gone.
Donnie: We saw it happen. Shredder threw him down a drain pipe.
April: Maybe Leo's right. I mean, Splinter was a great ninja Master.
Raph: [crossing his arms, looking upset] The greatest in the century.
Mikey: Hey, dudes, the show's starting.
[Suddenly, the lights go out. TV went off. Mikey knelt and whined.]
Casey: [frustrated] Aw, man. You gotta be kidding me!
Donnie: It's just a blown fuse. I'll fix it in two shakes of a turtle's tail.
[Donnie leaves. Now the fire went out. Donnie, Raph and April inspect it and Donnie turns on the flashlight to provide some light and sees that the fire in the woods has gone out.]
Raph: [annoyed] Great. Looks like we need more firewood.
[The flashlight turns off, not by Donnie’s intention. Donnie tried to turn on the flashlight, but there was no battery in it, much to Donatello’s dismay.]
Donnie: [dismayed] Are you kidding?
[In the woods, Raph is trying to chop some woods... but then someone's shadow arrives... ominous music plays.]
Raph: What was that? Who's there?
[Raph sees a deer.]
Raph: [Sighs in relief.] Just a deer. Phew. Easy, Raph. Don't get paranoid.
[A massive figure approaches him and covers him up with vines, causing Raph to shriek in terror. This shriek continues, until the figure lunges at him and his shriek stops. Cut to the farmhouse. Outside, everyone is calling out for Raph.]
Mikey: RAAPH! He's been gone for hours. RAPH!
[The others look for Raph.]
Casey: Raph! Can you hear us?!
April: Don't you think he'd answer?
Leo: All right, we split up. April and Casey, you guys take that way. Mikey and Donnie, you take that way.
Mikey: [stubborn] Split up? Are you loco, homey?
Donnie: [disappointed and jealous] April and Casey go off alone? Together?
Leo: [firmly] Mikey and Donnie, you take that way.
Donnie: [Groans in frustration.]
April: What about you?
Leo: I'll wait at the farmhouse in case Raph comes back. I won't be much help out there, anyway.
[Leo limps away sadly. April frowns with sympathy for Leo, then Casey takes her away. They begin to leave into the forest. Cut to April and Casey.]
April: I've always hated these woods at night. When I was a kid, I was sure monsters were gonna creep out and eat me.
[A branch snaps and a bat emerges, scaring April.]
Casey: No monsters here, Red, unless you count Casey Jones. [Howls.]
[Annoyed, April punches him in the stomach.]
Casey: Nice. Good arm.
[The farm and the strange-looking scarecrow are seen.]
Casey: So what's the deal, Red? You've been cold as ice to me ever since we left New York.
April: That's not true. It's just... What do you want, Casey? Our families are gone, most likely mutated. New York is alien...
[She groans, sensing that something’s wrong.]
Casey: What is it? You getting some bad vibes again?
April: I... I think something's watching us. Come on. Let's keep moving.
[We see Mikey and Donnie searching for Raph.]
Mikey: Raph! Raph! [Sighs.] I don't know, D. You think he got lost? Maybe he got eaten by a rabid squirrel.
Donnie: [Annoyed.] I do not think that, no. I'm just freaking because Casey and April went off on their own. Alone.
Mikey: [Obliviously.] Why? Because they forgot to bring a compass?
Donnie: [More annoyed.] No, genius. [Turns around to Mikey.] What happens when two teenagers who like each other go out into the woods alone?
[Mikey thinks about it and shines his flashlight on squirrels, who squeak at him with freaky looking faces. Mikey is horrified.]
Mikey: Aah! They get eaten by squirrels.
Donnie: You know what? Forget I said anything.
[They continue on. Donnie and Mikey find a little shack.]
Donnie: Hello. What's this?
Mikey: Let's check it out. You first.
[There's nothing here but a small creature.]
Mikey: Uh, hello?
[They look around. Mikey sees some gardening tools. Donnie sees shiny and when checked it, he sees the vial on the table. Donnie gasps, then Mikey grabs him and shows him something in the corner. It moves slightly.]
Mikey: Hello?
[The thing lunges at them. The two started to flee completely terrified. ]
Both: Aah!
[They ran out of the shack and took another look as the vines held the creature from its vines. Suddenly the creature reveals itself... Raph (due to his red bandanas and green color).]
Donnie: I think it's Raph.
Mikey: He's all leafy and weird looking. Like a salad!
Donnie: Something must have infected him.
Mikey: What? Aah! Holy chalupa!
[Vines grabbed him and covered his mouth.]
Donnie: Hold on. I'll cut you down.
[Someone approached and punched Donnie to the tree. He looked and saw a massive figure, seemingly a growth covered man. He punched the purple turtle against the tree. He throws his pitchfork at him, barely missing, but only hits Donnie’s bandana tails.]
Donnie: Aah!
Mikey: Donnie!
[The man started to approach Donnie. Meanwhile, April and Casey hear their screams.]
April: That's Donnie.
[They run off until she saw Casey is gone]
April: Casey? Casey! This isn't funny.
[She looked and saw the man holding Casey by the head.]
April: Oh no.
Casey: Let me go!
[The figure didn’t say anything. He only glared at Casey. April attacks him and the hood covering his face was removed. She threw her fan, but it stuck to his head. Vine growth attacked her as the man put his sack on.]
Casey: Goongala!
[Casey starts to attack the man, but he catches his hockey stick and throws him aside, dropping his skull mask. Casey is now knocked out.]
April: Casey!
[The man now wears the skull mask. April completely freaks out and starts to run as the man starts to follow her. April bumps into the man, then looks at him, trembling in terror. Meanwhile, Leo is struggling to stand up.]
Leo: Get on your feet, Leo. Stop whining and get up.
[As Leo struggles, he clutches his arm, then hears someone moaning. Surprised, he looks over and sees April weakly trudging to him.]
Leo: April?
[A confused and concerned Leo attempts to walk towards April to ask her what’s wrong or where Raph is. Just then, the vines grabbed April and she fell to the ground.]
April: Leo!
[Realizing that she’s in danger, Leo struggles to go after her, but April is dragged into the forest.]
April: HELP!!!
[April is now gone.]
Leo: April!
[Leo falls to the ground. Leo hyperventilates as his sword is seen on the ground with his bandana on the blade. Meanwhile, Donnie opened his eyes and saw Mikey was tied up and so was he. He looked and saw the monster growling at him. Without warning, the monster snarled and lunged at them, making them panic.]
Both: Aah!
Donnie: Easy, Raph. Try and remember. We're your brothers. Ow!
Mikey: Yeah. You can come home with us and live in the attic. I'll give you grow sticks and swamp water every single day. I swear.
[The bush monster smiles, then gently acts like a dog and starts to show his tongue. Mikey and Donnie look relieved. Then the monster arrives, holding April and Casey.]
Mikey: Aah! It's the Creep! [To Donnie.] That's what I named him.
Donnie: April! My poor sweet chinchilla.
[The Creep puts them down and walks to Raph; he picks him up by the head.]
Mikey: Leave him alone!
Casey: What's going…?
[Seeing that the Creep absorbing the monster, Casey kicks April to awaken her.]
Casey: April, wake up!
[April awakens and joins Casey as they watch the Creep absorbing Raph. Now everyone looked and saw the Creep is absorbing Raph.]
Mikey: Raph!
Donnie: It's feeding off of him, like mutagenic fertilizer.
[A blue aura formed around the Creep.]
Donnie: No, no, no! RAPH!
[Creep turned him into a plant, much to Mikey's fury.]
Mikey:[furious] You turned my brother into a plant! You turned him into a plant!!!
[The creep cracks his neck and grabs Mikey.]
Mikey: Let me go, Creep! I'll bash that mutagen straight out of you!
[Creep grabs Mikey’s head.]
Mikey: Aah!
Leo:[from outside] Help. Help!
[The Creep leaves. Donnie knows the voice of someone anywhere. He reveals it’s none other than……]
Donnie: Leo.
[The leaf monster looked outside, until a ninja star struck him. The Creep turned around to see Leo is here and his mask is on. Leo has his gear on after three months of recovering.]
Leo: Give me back my family, freak.
[He took out his swords and the monster started to attack him with his pitch fork. He loses one of his swords and cuts down the mask. The creep grabs him to reveal the Creep’s monstrous face. Leo struggled to get up as he struggled to crawl to the weapon. He stabs it in the head, causing the monster to roar in pain and dropping the sword. He grabs his katana and carefully limps to the shack.]
April: Leo!
[Leo looks to see the Plant.]
Leo: What the heck is that?
Donnie: It's Raph. Long story. Quick, get us out of here!
[Leo cuts them out, until the Creep comes back.]
Both: Aah!
[They block the door so the Creep can't get in until it bursts through the walls, making them scream. Casey howls like a wolf and starts to whack it but the Creep grabs it and breaks it.]
Casey: Aw, dude.
Mikey: Booyakasha!
[Mikey used his nunchucks while the others started to stab him as worms and moss flew everywhere. They take a break from their attack, but The Creep wakes up, before bursting free. Now enraged, The Creep furiously knocks April and Casey to the wall. He literally threw Donnie and Mikey out of his shack. The Creep grabs his arm and puts it back into his body. Leo looks at the vial and holds it to the Creep. He gives it to April and runs. She gives it to Donnie. Donnie quickly gives it to Mikey.]
April: Casey, grab the chains!
[Nodding affirmatively, Casey grabs the chains. Donnie and Mikey keep the vial away from The Creep, while Leo grabs the pitchfork. Fed up, The Creep starts to restrain Mikey with its vines, allow it to retrieve the vial. Donnie then launches Leo, who dives at the beast and breaks the vial with the pitchfork, before pinning it up against a tree. The others started to chain him up.]
Casey: [Taunting the Creep in revenge.] That's what you get for messing with my mask, freak.
Donnie: That should hold him. Now, come on. We gotta get him back to the lab.
Leo: You really think you can save Raph?
Donnie: Honestly, I don't know, Leo. I just don't know.
[Later… Raph has been back to normal.]
Donnie: Yes!
Mikey: Oh, no. Raph. Look at him. It's terrible.
Donnie: What do you mean? He's perfectly normal.
[April puts on Raph's mask on.]
April: How about now, Mikey?
Mikey: Phew, yeah. Way better.
[Raph puts his hand on Mikey’s face, then pushes him away. Raph sits up.]
Raph: What the heck is going on?
Casey: A crazy swamp monster sucked out your mutagen and turned you into a plant, dude. It was awesome!
Donnie: But I used this I.V. tube to drain all the mutagen out of the Creep and back into your body. Cool, right? Killed off the infection like a bad case of shell-acne.
Raph: [Gratefully.] Cool. Thanks, Donnie. [Now confused.] So what happened to the monster?
[The scene pans over to the can, which contains what is left of the Creep.]
Casey: It got turned back into swamp goo. Pretty wicked, right?
April: Donnie worked all night to save you. Leo never left your side.
[Raph turned around to see Leo smiling at him.]
Leo: That's what brothers are for. [Leo grabs Raph by the hand and helps him up] We gotta heal up, Raph. We have a city to take back.
Mikey: I give that a big, fat, sloppy, wet booyakasha!
[In the farm warehouse, Creep's jar breaks, indicating he will return soon...]
